Curriculum Vitae

Professor Nini’s main research interests are in the areas of financial intermediation, corporate finance, insurance markets and applied econometrics.

He teaches Risk Management as a Wharton Undergraduate and MBA Elective course, and Empirical Methods in Risk and Insurance, a Wharton PhD course.

He obtained a B.A. in Economics and Mathematics in 1994 from Swarthmore College, and then worked as an actuary at the Reliance Insurance Company for three years, before beginning with his PhD studies. He completed his Dissertation on “Essays in Insurance Economics” in 2002.

In 2007 he became Assistant Professor of Insurance and Risk Management at the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania. In addition, he works as a research fellow at the Wharton Financial Institutions Center and as a visiting scholar at the Federal Reserve Bank of Philadelphia.
